Helen Lee (Lisi) has been a registered nurse for almost thirty-four years.  She is also an active volunteer of the American Red Cross in her area of New York State. She is well-respected in the health care communities in the Binghamton, New York, area.  

Through her memoir, Helen aspires to use her health care expertise and personal experience as an ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome) survivor to  examine the role of faith, offer hope, and deepen our understanding of the critically ill patient experience.
