D.\, a graduate of Boston College and Stanford University\, taught at a number of universities before becoming a college administrator.   His collections include Winter Mind (Pudding House\, 2003) and Congregation (Ithaca College\, 2009).   In 2007 and 2008 he was Poet Laureate of Tompkins County.</span></span>
